Privacy Policy

SkinTalk helps people discover beauty product experiences by skin type. This policy explains what information the app may collect, how it is used, and the choices available to users.

Information we collect

How we use information

AI and translations

SkinTalk may use automated systems to translate reviews, summarize review patterns, detect abuse, and improve product discovery. AI outputs are informational and may be imperfect. Ingredient notes are not medical advice.

Sharing

Reviews, usernames, profile signals relevant to a review, ratings, and product feedback may be visible to other users. We do not sell personal information. Service providers such as Firebase may process data for authentication, storage, analytics, crash reporting, and cloud functions.

Retention

Account and profile data are retained while the account is active. Reviews may remain until removed by the user or moderation. Backups, audit logs, and legal records may be retained for a limited period where required for security, compliance, or fraud prevention.

Your choices

Terms of Use

By using SkinTalk, you agree to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/, and to these additional SkinTalk community safety terms. SkinTalk is a community and product review tool, not a medical, dermatological, or professional advice service.

User-generated content and zero-tolerance policy

SkinTalk allows users to submit product reviews, ratings, profile signals relevant to reviews, reports, and other community feedback. SkinTalk has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.

Content filtering and moderation

SkinTalk may automatically and manually filter reviews for abusive language, spam, unsafe external links, very short low-quality submissions, low-trust signals, reports, and other objectionable content. Filtered content may be held for moderation, hidden, rejected, or removed.

Reporting and blocking

Users can flag objectionable reviews from the review action menu. Users can also block abusive users from review actions or public profiles. Blocking a user removes that user's content from the blocking user's feed immediately where technically feasible, removes follow relationships, and creates a moderation signal for the developer to review the related content and account.

Developer action within 24 hours

Reports of objectionable content are reviewed by the developer within 24 hours. When content or conduct violates these terms, SkinTalk may remove the content, reject or hide reviews, restrict account features, block or eject abusive users from the service, and retain moderation audit records for safety, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

Product names, brands, ingredients, and categories may be cataloged for factual reference. Any third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Account Deletion

You can request account deletion from the SkinTalk app by opening Profile, tapping Settings, and choosing Delete account at the bottom of the settings screen.

Deleted

Authentication account, profile data, app preferences, and private account metadata.

Removed or anonymized

Reviews and community content may be removed or anonymized where technically and legally feasible.

May be retained briefly

Security logs, backups, moderation audit records, and legal compliance records may remain for a limited period.

If you cannot access the app, contact support with the email or sign-in provider used for the account and write "SkinTalk account deletion request" in the subject.
