FaithGuide Support and Privacy

FaithGuide: AI Faith Chat is a source-grounded educational app for questions about Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. This page provides support information, account deletion instructions, safety reporting, and the privacy policy.

Please do not include passwords, payment details, private documents, or other unnecessary sensitive information in a support request. Support requests are reviewed as soon as possible, normally within 24-48 hours.

Terms and Safety Rules

By using FaithGuide, users agree to use the app respectfully and lawfully. FaithGuide has no tolerance for objectionable content, abusive behavior, harassment, hateful content, threats, sexually explicit content, illegal content, harmful instructions, spam, or attempts to misuse the AI chat experience.

Users must not submit content intended to abuse, threaten, harass, exploit, or harm other people or communities. FaithGuide may filter, refuse, or limit unsafe or abusive requests.

Users can report safety or content concerns through the in-app feedback controls or by contacting support at nacnakruf@gmail.com. Safety-related and objectionable-content reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

FaithGuide does not provide a public feed, public user profiles, user-to-user messaging, or a way for users to publish content to other users.

Account Deletion

Users can initiate account deletion directly inside the app:

  1. Open FaithGuide.
  2. Sign in or continue with your account.
  3. Open Settings.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page.
  5. Tap Delete account and data.
  6. Confirm deletion.

The app clears local account data and requests deletion of backend account data. If the account uses Firebase authentication, the app also attempts to delete the Firebase account where the current sign-in session permits it.

Safety and Content Reports

FaithGuide does not provide a public feed, public user profiles, user-to-user messaging, or a way for users to publish content to other users. User text is used as private input to the AI chat experience.

If an answer appears unsafe, abusive, inaccurate, overconfident, or poorly sourced, use the in-app feedback controls on the answer or open a support request. Objectionable, abusive, or safety-related reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

Privacy Policy

FaithGuide is a source-grounded religious Q&A app. This policy explains what information FaithGuide may process and how it is used.

Information We Process

FaithGuide does not require users to declare a religious identity. Religion and tradition selections are treated only as question context, not as a user profile category.

How We Use Information

User messages, corrections, votes, and feedback are not treated as religious sources. They are not automatically added to FaithGuide's religious source database.

AI and Backend Processing

The app sends chat requests to the FaithGuide backend. The backend sends the user question, relevant conversation context, locale/settings, and retrieved source context to Google Gemini to prepare an answer. Gemini API keys are stored only on the backend and are not included in the mobile app.

Third-Party Services

FaithGuide may use service providers needed to operate the app, including:

These providers may process data according to their own privacy and security terms. FaithGuide does not sell user chat content and does not use chat content to create religious advertising profiles.

Advertising

FaithGuide may use Google AdMob to show ads. Google AdMob may collect or receive device, advertising, usage, and diagnostic information according to Google's policies. See Google's privacy policy.

Religious and Sensitive Information

FaithGuide is designed not to ask for or require a user's religious identity. If users voluntarily include sensitive personal information in chat, FaithGuide may process it only to provide the requested app function, safety handling, quality review, or account/history management. Users should avoid entering unnecessary personal, medical, legal, financial, or highly sensitive information.

Data Retention

Conversation history may be retained while the account exists or until the user deletes it. Quality and security logs may be retained for a limited period as needed for safety, abuse prevention, debugging, legal compliance, and service improvement.

Children

FaithGuide is an educational app and is not designed to collect information from children without appropriate consent. If a child or young user appears to be asking sensitive questions, FaithGuide aims to respond with safer, age-appropriate language.

Security

FaithGuide does not store backend API secrets in the mobile app. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, but FaithGuide uses reasonable safeguards to protect data.

International Users

Information may be processed in countries other than where the user lives, depending on service provider infrastructure.

Changes

This policy may be updated as FaithGuide changes. The updated date will be changed when material changes are made.
